Mohamed Metwaly

Co-founder and Executive Partner

Mohamed Metwaly co-founded M.A.C.G and is its executive partner. He has worked across audit, tax, advisory and transaction services for more than two decades, and has recruited and led teams totalling over two hundred people.

He is a chartered accountant, entered on the Central Bank of Egypt's Register of Auditors (512), the Central Auditing Organization's Register of Auditors (1617), and the Ministry of Finance's Register of Accountants and Auditors (19565). He is a member of the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors (2959) and of the Egyptian Association for Public Finance and Taxes (1630), and is completing the ACCA.

He sits on the Customs and Tax Committee of the Federation of Industries of Egypt, where industry raises its problems directly with the Egyptian Tax and Customs Authority.

His own work spans the practice. On audit he plans and runs risk-based engagements and tests the internal controls behind them. On tax he takes disputes through inspection, internal committee and appeal, and advises multinational groups on treaty interpretation, expatriate tax and foreign exemptions. He also leads the firm's feasibility studies, valuations, due diligence and transaction work.

Sarah Shawki

Partner, Financial Consulting

Sarah leads the financial consulting practice: feasibility studies, financial modeling, corporate finance, business performance analysis and valuation.

She joined M.A.C.G in 2016, straight from university, and has risen to partner. Every feasibility study, valuation and model the practice produces is built to her approach and reviewed by her before it reaches a client. She is a CFA candidate and has completed the American University in Cairo's program on project feasibility study.

When a client needs to know whether a project will work before committing capital to it, Sarah's team builds the case.

Ahmed Qorim

Senior Advisor, Audit and Governance

Ahmed Qorim spent thirty-six years at Egypt's Central Auditing Organization, joining as a trainee auditor in 1985 and reaching the grade of First Undersecretary in 2021. He directed the Authority's air transport audit department in 2019 and 2020.

He served at the Financial Regulatory Authority as Disclosure and Corporate Governance Expert from 2007 to 2009, and took part in preparing the Egyptian Standards on Auditing issued under Minister of Investment Decree 166 of 2008 — the standards under which audits in Egypt are now conducted.

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Cairo University, 1984.

Basma Fathy

Lead Market Analyst

Basma leads market research and analysis, and has supervised the majority of feasibility studies M.A.C.G has produced.

She read economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. Her work establishes whether the market a client is counting on actually exists, at the size they are assuming.

Nouran Omar

Senior Management Consultant

Nouran joined M.A.C.G in 2020 and is now a senior management consultant, working on business planning and market research for clients in logistics, healthcare, construction and industry. Her own work is in financial modeling: feasibility studies, budgets and scenario analysis.

Before joining the firm she built anti-money-laundering, data protection and governance frameworks for a marine services business in Port Said, across more than a hundred client accounts.

MBA in Project Management, and a BSc in Accounting.

Youmna Elzahra

Senior Financial Analyst

Youmna is a senior financial analyst and has been with the firm since 2020. She prepares the statements clients depend on — balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements — and the reporting packs that go to their boards and their banks.

Most of her work is for construction and contracting companies, the firm's largest client group. She reports both to clients and to the firm's partners, and she owns the quarterly and annual closes.

Ahmed Khairat

Audit Supervisor

Ahmed Khairat is a chartered accountant and has been with M.A.C.G since 2019. He works on audit engagements: planning with the senior auditor, preparing the draft findings, attending client meetings, and seeing the report through to completion.

His first two years at the firm were in tax and bookkeeping — general tax declarations, monthly VAT returns, salary declarations and Form 41, alongside the preparation of full financial statements. That grounding means he reads a client's ledgers before he reads their file.

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Zagazig University, 2017. Certificate in Principles of Banking, Egyptian Banking Institute.

Fady Habib

Head of Tax

Fady Habib leads the firm's tax practice.

He has practiced Egyptian tax since 2017, covering corporate income tax under Law 91 of 2005 and value added tax under Law 67 of 2016, alongside external audit work. He represents clients through the full dispute path: the internal committees of the Egyptian Tax Authority, the appeal committees, and the Justice Experts Authority at the Ministry of Justice.

His work covers corporate tax audits and VAT inspections, annual payroll tax reconciliations and stamp duty obligations, and the review of financial statements, disclosures and returns before they are filed. He joined M.A.C.G in 2025, having previously held tax manager and tax supervisor roles in private practice.

Diploma in Taxation, Ain Shams University. Member of the Egyptian Tax Society. He is currently completing the ESAA intermediate examination, the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation, and the IFRS Diploma.

Yasmine Medhat

Senior Tax Accountant

Yasmine specializes in tax compliance: preparing returns, advising on tax position, and preparing companies for tax audits.

She also works as a general accountant, running end-to-end processes from ledger entry through to financial statements. That combination matters: the person who keeps a client's books is the person who files from them, so the returns reconcile to the ledger rather than being rebuilt from it at the year end. Where an inspection is coming, she is the one who gets the records ready before it starts.

She has nine years in tax and general accounting.

Aya Saad Eldeen

Senior Corporate Legal Consultant

Aya handles business incorporation across legal structures and the procedures that follow it: amendments to the commercial register, changes to legal entities, board minutes, annual shareholder meetings and updates to articles of association.

She is also responsible for legalizing the firm's documents — the attestation and authentication Egyptian authorities require before a document will be accepted. For clients with foreign shareholders that is frequently the slowest part of getting anything done.

She keeps clients compliant with the requirements that are easy to let slip and expensive to fix.
